Startron – Reliable Manufacturing Partner- Strategic Investments in Quality & Compliance Aiming to Scale Its Footprint

Startron is the next generation electronics company created to support brands navigating today’s fast moving quality driven markets. During an exclusive interaction with Mobility Magazine, Mr. Tushar Tekriwal, MD, Startron shared detailed insights into the company’s journey, its manufacturing strategies, and its vision to emerge as a leading manufacturing force in India.
Milestones of Journey
Startron was conceived with a very clear intent—to build an electronics manufacturing company that combines deep execution experience with modern systems and scalability. While Startron as an entity is young, the people behind it have spent years on the shop floor, in planning rooms, and across supply chains, executing complex electronics manufacturing at scale.
We saw a clear gap in the market. Brands were growing faster than the ecosystem supporting them. What they needed was not just capacity, but a reliable manufacturing partner—one that understands quality, compliance, timelines, and long-term collaboration.
Startron was built ground-up with this philosophy. From investing in MES-driven operations and strong quality frameworks to setting up a state-of-the-art facility, every decision was taken to ensure predictability, transparency, and trust. Our journey so far has been defined by customer confidence, reflected in our rapid scale-up and strong year-on-year growth.
Products
Startron supports manufacturing across a wide spectrum of consumer electronics categories. Our current capabilities include smartwatches, earbuds (TWS), neckbands, power banks, Bluetooth speakers, soundbars, mobile phones, smartphones, tablets, and small home appliances. We also cater to white goods and brown goods categories.
What is important is not just the range, but the flexibility with which we operate. Our assembly lines are multipurpose, allowing us to support both new product launches and high-volume production with equal efficiency. This enables our partners to scale confidently without worrying about operational limitations.
Manufacturing strategies
Our manufacturing strategy is built on three core pillars: systems, quality, and scalability.
We have implemented an integrated ERP–MES–WMS ecosystem, which gives us real-time visibility across material planning, production execution, and warehouse management. This ensures zero variance in kit management, strong traceability, and predictable output.
Quality is embedded as a system, not an afterthought. We follow multi-layered quality control, aligned with ISO 2859-1:1999 AQL standards, covering incoming materials, in-process checks, final inspection, and reliability testing. Compliance—whether BIS, ISI, LMPC, E-Waste, ISO or Sedex—is built into our operating model.
Finally, scalability is engineered into our infrastructure. From semi-automatic multipurpose lines to a facility that can expand rapidly, our strategy ensures we grow with our customers, not ahead or behind them.
Opportunities in manufacturing in India
India is at a defining moment in its manufacturing journey. The convergence of policy support, rising domestic consumption, global supply chain realignment, and growing design capability has created a strong opportunity for electronics manufacturing.
However, the real opportunity lies in execution excellence. Brands today are looking for partners who can deliver consistent quality, meet compliance standards, and scale responsibly. This is where India can differentiate—not just as a low-cost base, but as a reliable global manufacturing hub.
At Startron, we see ourselves as part of this transformation—supporting brands that want to build in India, for India and the world.
Future Growth
The next five years for Startron are focused on deepening capability, expanding capacity, and strengthening partnerships. We plan to scale our manufacturing footprint significantly, expanding our facility from 10,000 sq. meters to up to 30,000 sq. meters, while increasing production capacity beyond our current 12 million devices annually. Backward integration, process automation, and stronger supplier ecosystems will be key focus areas. Equally important is continuing to invest in quality systems, compliance readiness, and people. Our goal is to become a long-term manufacturing backbone for leading electronics brands—known for reliability, transparency, and execution discipline. Growth will remain a by-product of trust. And that is exactly how we intend to build Startron.
